DeSantis praised the mobilization of emergency personnel, including National Guard troops, search and rescue teams, electricity workers, state troopers and others he said will help Florida recover quickly from whatever Isaias brings.
“For the next 24 to 36 hours, you know you’re going to see some nasty weather one way or another if you’re in this part of the state,” he said, adding that emergency shelters were still open for people who needed to evacuate.
