Elk Grove Village using data center windfall to give residents $200 gift cards

Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig Johnson announced the distribution of $200 gift cards for all 14,000 households in town, funded by $2.83 million from recent data center property sales that generated more than $4 million in transfer taxes.
