Bears practice report: Bears K Cairo Santos says he and Packers WR Matthew Golden resolved conflict, moved on

What happened Thursday at Halas Hall:

Santos moves on

Bears kicker Cairo Santos copped to trying to trip Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden on a punt return Sunday and said he and Golden cleared the air on the incident at halftime. Golden knocked down a Bears staffer on the sideline, then Santos stuck his leg out as Golden returned to the field.

Santos said he saw Golden bump the staff member, but didn’t want to elaborate on the incident. He said he has not heard from the NFL about potential discipline.

"It's all good," Golden said Sunday. "I ain't got nothing to say to him."

Chance for Stevenson

With the Bears reeling from Packers quarterback Jordan Love lighting them up, they need all the help they can get in the secondary. Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson, who frequently plays through injuries, practiced Thursday despite a hip issue and could be available Sunday against the Falcons.

Pass rushers wanted

The Bears haven’t added any pass-rushing help in the wake of defensive end Montez Sweat’s suspension and lineman Dayo Odeyingbo’s quad injury. They could start recently activated lineman Shemar Turner, but defensive coordinator Dennis Allen has warned that any player coming off a long layoff won’t play a full load of snaps.

Minus Monangai

It’s looking increasingly likely running back Kyle Monangai (toe) will miss the Falcons game. He hasn’t practiced since getting hurt against the Jets on Oct. 4.

Other absences

Linebackers T.J. Edwards (hamstring) and Keyshaun Elliott (quad) did not practice, and Edwards is unlikely to play against the Falcons. Veteran defensive tackle Grady Jarrett and left guard Joe Thuney are not injured, but got a rest day.
